Index Descriptions
S&P 500 Total Return Index: The S&P 500 Index consists of 500 stocks chosen for market size, liquidity, and industry group representation. It is a market-value-weighted index with each stock’s weight in the index proportionate to its market value.
Dow Jones Industrial Average: The Dow Jones Industrial Average is a price-weighted average of 30 blue-chip stocks that are generally the leaders in their industry. It has been a widely followed indicator of the stock market since October 1, 1928.
MSCI EAFE: The MSCI EAFE Index is a free-float weighted equity index. The index was developed with a base value of 100 as of December 31, 1969. The MSCI EAFE region covers DM countries in Europe, Australasia, Israel, and the Far East.
MSCI Emerging Markets: The MSCI EM (Emerging Markets) Index is a free-float weighted equity index that captures large and mid cap representation across Emerging Markets (EM) countries. The index covers approximately 85% of the free float-adjusted market capitalization in each country.
Bloomberg Intermediate US Government/Credit Bond Index: The Bloomberg Intermediate US Government/Credit Bond Index is the broad-based flagship benchmark that measures the non-securitized component of the US Aggregate Index with less than 10 years to maturity. The index includes investment grade, US dollar-denominated, fixed-rate treasuries, government-related and corporate securities.
Bloomberg Municipal 1-15 Year Index: The Bloomberg Municipal 1-15 Year Index measures the performance of USD-denominated long-term, tax-exempt bond market with maturities of 1-15 years, including state and local general obligation bonds, revenue bonds, insured bonds, and prerefunded bonds.
Consumer Price Index-CPI Unadjusted: This CPI represents changes in prices of all goods and services purchased for consumption by urban households. User fees (such as water and sewer service) and sales and excise taxes paid by the consumer are also included.
